Coaches

August Manz - Coach Manz has been a coach at Thomas Jefferson since 2005 and also serves as the
head wrestling coach. Coach Manz is a Thomas Jefferson graduate and also a graduate of the University of
Northern Iowa (01). Coach Manz wrestled at the University of Dubuque. Coach Manz started and coaches
the Cobra Optimist Wrestling Club in 2005. Coach Manz has also served as the head wrestling coach at
Battle Creek, NE prior to taking over at Thomas Jefferson.

Josh Kritenbrink - Coach Kritenbrink is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and also a graduate
of Buena Vista University. Coach Kritenbrink has 10 years of wrestling experience and 3 years of coaching
youth wrestling experience. Coach Kritenbrink has been with the Cobra Optimist Wrestling Club since 2007.

Chris Manz - Coach Manz is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and is also a graduate of Iowa
Western Community College and Buena Vista College. Coach Manz takes care of the administrative side of
the club and maintains the Web Site.

Jeremy Jones - Coach Jones has 13 years of wrestling experience. Coach Jones started coaching
youth wrestling in 2005, and joined Cobra in 2007. Coach Jones is a graduate of TJ where he excelled in
wrestling.

Steve Barnes - Coach Barnes is a graduate of Simpson college where he was Team Captain of the
Simpson College Wrestling Team. Coach Barnes brings 15 years of wrestling experience and 2 years coaching
youth wrestling to our program.

Don Jones - Coach Jones started the Hawks Wrestling Club in 1983 and coached the club for 12,
producing many of the areas best High School Wrestlers and tons of Iowa State High School Champions.
After a short break from coaching, Coach Jones returned to coach the CB Panther club for 2 years. Coach
Jones started coaching for the Cobra Optimist Wrestling Club in 2006. Coach Jones has wrestled or coached
his entire life, and was a successful wrestler at TJ.

Dick Jones - Coach Jones, started coaching at the Hawks Wrestling Club in 1983 where he coached for
12 years. He started coaching again in 2004 for the Panthers. In 2006 Coach Jones started coaching for
Cobra Optimist Wrestling Club. Coach Jones is a graduate of TJ where he excelled in wrestling.

Jeff Ziegler - Coach Ziegler has been a youth wrestling coach in Council Bluffs since 2005 and has been
with the Cobra Optimist Wrestling Club of Council Bluffs since 2007. Coach Ziegler is a graduate from Thomas
Jefferson and also a graduate from the University of Nebraska in 2001. Coach Ziegler comes to us with 8
years of wrestling experience and 4+ years of coaching youth wrestling.

Keith Midkiff - Coach Midkiff is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Coach Midkiff has 8 years of
wrestling experience and is a former Tulsa National Champ. Coach Midkiff has been with the Cobra Optimist
Wrestling Club of Council Bluffs since 2005.

Travis Bellows - Coach Bellows, an excellent high school wrestler brings 10 years wrestling experience, 2
years coaching youth wrestling.
